CONVERSION SUBMACHINE GUN. Cal. 9mm (9x19mm). S# 0023. Bbl. 8". Sten tube registered by Richard Urich and converted into a Sterling Mk IV (L2A3) configuration. The left side of the receiver tube is marked "0023/ RW URICH/ ALLENTOWN PA". Top and bottom flats of mag. well exhibit faint, mostly illegible Sterling markings. Metal components exhibit a black "wrinkle" finish that was applied over a phosphate finish, with some small parts exhibiting just a phosphate finish. 1-piece checkered black synthetic pistol grip, with collapsible steel under-folding buttstock. Post front sight with flip-up dual aperture rear sight graduated "100" and "200". MAGS: x1 34-rd. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining virtually all of their black "wrinkle" and phosphate finishes overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting a couple of small spots of mild pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Synthetic grip some mild wear and a few superficial handling marks, but otherwise remains sound. PROVENANCE: Military Museum Collection of Shooters Outpost, Hooksett NH.
